The way your food is grown can increase your risk of heart disease.

Heart disease begins in the delicate inner lining of your blood vessels. When this lining is exposed to chronic inflammation:
▪️ It becomes more permeable
▪️LDL particles enter the vessel wall
▪️Oxidation occurs 👉 triggering immune response
▪️Plaque forms and becomes unstable

This is less about cholesterol itself... and more about:
Inflammation + Oxidation + Nutrient Profiles

FOOD CONNECTION:
▪️ Grain-fed animal products = higher omega-6 = pro inflammatory signaling
▪️Industrial oils = easily oxidized = increased oxidative stress
▪️Nutrient poor diets = reduce the body's ability to repair vessels

WHY WE RECCOMMEND OUR PASTURE RAISED MEAT & EGGS
▪️ Better omega-3 : omega-6 balance
▪️Higher fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, K2)
▪️Nutrients that support vascular repair

Lowering the risk of chronic illness & disease starts with how your food was raised. Most labels like grass fed, natural, free range, antibiotic free, ect are marketing buzz words that do not ensure the food is less inflammatory, less oxidative, or has a higher nutrition profile.

The health of the human gut starts with the microbiome of the food we eat. Our sheep and chickens eat what’s in this photo. There are over 5 different types of grass and forbs in one square foot of this pasture!

Feeding families with compost. Part of being a regenerative farmer is creating abundance from what nature offers us. In late summer we begin creating what’s called a carbonaceous diaper. This diaper catches chicken manure all winter while providing a warm place for chickens to scratch all winter.

In spring we remove the bedding after mo the of manure has created compost. It then gets wet, turned a few times and put in the garden to grow summer vegetables. No chemicals, no sprays, and lots of food! Nature gives us everything we need if we take the time to learn how to use it!
