The old saying goes, “when you own LIVEstock, then you will have dead stock”.
Lucky for us we caught this cow in time to help her before it became worse.

We found this cow this morning, couldn't get her up and had very labored breathing. We called our vet to come out and look at her.
The cow had aborted her calf and got an infection. The vet got her all fixed up and gave us instructions and what to watch for.

About 30-45 minutes after the cow was given everything, she was back up on her feet and drinking.

Farming and Ranching isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. As part of the Ag industry, I think it’s important to not only share the highs but share the lows also.

We are thankful for these animals that God has blessed us with and try our best to be good stewards of them.

Update: we unfortunately lost the cow. It’s a tough loss but that’s apart of this lifestyle.
We did what we could and tried our best.
