Tennessee loses hundreds of acres of farmland every single day. This week, Smyrna Mayor Mary Esther Reed invited me to her office to talk about what we’re doing about it.
I got to tell her the whole vision — the trees, the lavender, the Christmas market, and the mission behind all of it. She’s been a genuine advocate for Annabel Farms, and she helped move our business license forward when we needed it most.
Thank you, Mayor Reed! 🙏Saving farmland takes a community, and ours is showing up.

Week one of the market becoming real.

Our Christkindl Village sponsor started building vendor stalls — 25 floors down before the rain sent them sideways. Electrical design approved and poles are set. Farm entrance sign ordered from in Smyrna. And we bought a food trailer, because you can’t open a European-style Christmas market without German Christmas food. (Research conducted at Someone had to do it.)

Now we’re testing recipes — what has to be on the menu? 👇

We have a blog!

Tennessee loses more than 230 acres of farmland every single day. By next year, the total will reach two million acres, which is more land than the entire state of Delaware, gone in a decade. Most of it right here in Middle Tennessee. If you’ve lived here any length of time, you already know this....

Thank you, Williamson County TN for making the business license process so very easy! I was in and out in under 15 minutes! When you’re starting a farm and agritourism business from scratch more things are difficult than easy. So when something goes so easy you are beyond grateful! 🙏🙏🙏
