..Heavy Snow Possible Tuesday and Wednesday Next Week...

Light snow is expected this weekend and into Monday, but a
powerful winter storm will move into Bristol Bay on Tuesday.

The heaviest snow right now looks to set up from Unalakleet to
Huslia south and east on Tuesday and Wednesday. This event will
come with a sharp temperature gradient and the freezing line may
get as far north as Galena, so there is a rain/freezing rain risk
as well. All of this precipitation has a chance to be heavy with
moderate confidence for snowfall totals over 6 inches and low
confidence for 0.10" of ice. Exact accumulations of snow and ice
are still uncertain and details will become clearer this weekend
as updates continue to come out.
