Little hill bunkhouse, on marrowstone island

Little hill bunkhouse, on marrowstone island bike, kayak or farm stays...wayfarers welcome, trespassing encouraged! Trail heads to hike in the Olympics are an hour's drive

We are rustic.

little hill is our small family homestead, right on marrowstone island's mystery bay -- where we raise lamb, fruits and vegetables. we love to share the place with friends and friends of friends...

join us for a weekend in the bunkhouse, our private rustic out-building: with one queen size bed, a double bed pull out couch and two twin futons it can sleep up to six in its one large sleeping cabin.

the bunkhouse has its own kitchen that can look out over the bay, and private outdoor shower, that looks out over our orchard pasture . Its all very simple, rustic, and beautiful --and there is a ton to do: great beaches a short walk from our place, biking, kayaking; birds to watch, clams to dig, Port Townsend is 25 mins away. At the bunkhouse, we have warm outdoor showers, a composting toilet and heat with a wood stove. The Gypsy kitchen has a two-burner gas cook top, coffee maker, small oven, fridge and BBQ. Just ask for anything else you need. we can't formally charge as we aren't a formal business -- but you can join our little hill club, and make a donation around $75 a night - depending on your group size and needs. We do work trade farm stays too. For those interested in working round the farm instead of paying cash, we are happy to do trade out for time spent helping with projects, or just weeding.

Happy Spring! Whether you call it Good Friday or Passover, or none of the above...our four day old lambs with the biggest ears and cutest speckled long legs ever -- are bringing joy to the world, and I think that's what it's all about. Specially in these sometimes dark sad times. Sending light & love your way...& stop by neighbors!

smart farmers use modern methods to help ease the shortage of good pasture in the hot dry days of august. a fence made of cars and crab pots can be just the ticket when you've plum run out of over large dandelions, zucchini, nasturtiums, rose branch and bean stalk clippings.

came home to full-on springtime: our little herd, larger than ever, a garden filled with over wintered veggies, ospreys and kingfishers darting about and the soft colors of the PNW.
