Love and condolences

Like many others, I too owe so much to Nancy Curtis. She created a community where it was ok to be weird... to be creative... to just be yourself. It was the FC theater where I started to discover who I was and what I wanted to be. I can honestly say that without her, there would be no Push Comedy Theater.

I stole the picture below from Christie Brown Arnold's page. Somehow me, the quiet kid, ended up in a magical production of Godspell with a truly magical cast. Still not sure why Nancy choose me to be in with this bunch. But it worked. Somedays when I get overwhelmed and frustrated and just want to burn the Push to the ground and collect the insurance money... I think of this show and this cast and it puts a smile on my face. Thanks, Nancy.

A little over a month ago, I got to spend a couple of hours with Nancy and a few others. We drank too much whiskey, laughed at old memories and talked about future projects. It was a great night.

I will miss you.

Baltimore Fam

Blake Harrison was a true embodiment of the best aspects of the Baltimore music scene. His unwavering support for artists across all genres, his wry sense of humor, and his energetic presence meant that any show he attended/or played was guaranteed to be memorable. To many of us at Metro, Blake was more than just a close friend; he was a legend in our community whose absence leaves a profound void. We are deeply feeling the loss of someone who was genuinely one of a kind. Blake, we cherish the love and laughter you brought into our lives, and we are forever grateful for the times you graced our stage. Your friendship was a gift, enriching our lives in countless ways. We love you, Blake, and will miss you dearly.

Some of our Slowdive fam created an amazing night at Elevation 27, we couldn’t be more proud of the crew! It was truly an ambitious, entertaining and successful night for everyone involved. , and absolutely killed it and have created a shining example of Virginia’s latest and greatest in emerging talent and arts. MIGHTY DREAM:
These past three days have been nothing short of amazing and impactful. and the entire .co team put together an event that was not only important to Virginians but the wider world of entrepreneurship for marginalized communities in America. It was an honor and a pleasure to see our leaders and patrons from the Norfolk Arts Community show up and show out. Whether you attended one of the many phenomenal panels or spoke amongst the greats, without you this wouldn’t be possible!
