Carla Johnson 🌺👒🌼🍄🌷☕️ 🌸 KADIN’S CREEK FARM 405 Alissa Lane Norman Station, Indiana 47264. 812-797-1806. ***A FEW TIPS FOR THE UPCOMING PLANT AND SEED SWAP on Sunday, May 3rd @ 2pm. *SEEDS: can be in original seed packets, sealed envelopes, baggies, home-made seed packets, old pill bottles, etc. Just be sure they’re labeled with the type of seed and what its favorable growing conditions are. *PLANTS: you can bring fresh cuttings, rooted cuttings, or potted plants. Fresh cuttings should be made the day before or morning of the swap. Fresh or rooted cuttings should be wrapped in a wet paper towel, and whoever receives it can place it in water when they get home. A fresh cutting or a rooted cutting should be at least four to six inches long. For fresh cuttings, use a sharp knife or shears to make a clean cut just below a node, where leaves attach to the stem. Remove lower leaves, keeping two or three at the top of the stem. If bringing bulbs, they can be contained in a box or wrapped in newspaper to keep loose dirt to a minimum. Make sure to attach an identifying label with type of plant and growing conditions to each item. ** TIP: Bring along a tub, box, sturdy bag, etc. to carry your swapped plants home in!
*** If you like, dress up in “Garden Party” Vintage Clothing, Hats and lots of Bling! 👒, but if dressing up is not your thing, that’s just fine too!*** My desire is to help everyone get a great start at flower, herb and vegetable gardening this spring, to ask questions and gain gardening wisdom from those who have knowledge to share. I believe it’s prudent to increase our gardening skills due to the food shortages and higher prices happening now. *** DIRECTIONS to Kadin’s Creek Farm.
