I was honored and blessed to be able to be a “sweet” part of this very special wedding! Gorgeous theme!
Hand molded chocolates everywhere, including “dabloons” and shells.
4 flavors for the sheets and 3 layer 2 tier for the Bridal cake.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

This family always has the best inspiration for me to work with! Everything is edible except the pot handles. The “gator” is chocolate and the “taters”, corn and lemons are cake. What a fun one to do❣️

Today’s teaching/learning moment:

I welcome inspiration pics. This gives me a great guide on what you are looking for when you order from me. A couple of main points regarding this.

1. I will not make it identical. That is another’s work and I will respect that.
(If you want identical, please contact the original creator and even then it may not be exact)

2. Many photos are edited; making the colors that while I attempt to duplicate them as closely I as I can, will not be exact. (Unless you take a picture and then “shop” it)

Please also remember that many photos are only for display. The creator has made a “dummy cake” just for pictures.

Some of the behind the scene players in cake construction and assembly are: gloves, paper towels, plastic wrap, parchment paper, cake drums or boards, straws, the box that it will be delivered in and required labels. (boxes alone can cost upwards of $ 10.00 each depending of size and sturdieness 😲) These are all simple items that we don’t even consider as part of the cake order. Without these, I wouldn’t be able to create your cake!

I have multiple recipes for frosting AKA buttercream (at least 10 styles)

In one of my recipes, among other items, I use 2 lbs of high quality butter and 2 lbs of powdered sugar.

Another recipe requires me to cook sugar to a soft ball stage or 235 degrees and then incorporate that boiling mixture into freshly whipped egg whites without cooking them.

The point of this is nothing is premade. Everything is made fresh and to order.
