The crackdown on intoxicating h**p — THCA, delta-8, etc. — is becoming a pattern.
What’s interesting is how we got here.
Intoxicating h**p pulled a lot of growers away from what h**p was originally built on — CBD and CBG. The margins were better, demand was stronger, so naturally people followed it.
Now that same segment is getting tightened up from all sides.
At the same time, we’re seeing the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services step into CBD on the medical side.
Two different directions happening at once:
intoxicating h**p getting squeezed
compliant, medical h**p getting attention
That doesn’t look like the end of h**p.
It looks like a reset.
Feels like we’re moving back toward what h**p was meant to be in the first place…
but this time in a more structured way.
