Our Story
Just a few years ago, we were living on the Eastern Plains in Colorado. We had a farm and a government loan and a loan officer who wanted us to use conventional farming methods. We were fed up! This was not our dream! We sold everything except the essentials and moved to the Boston Mountains of Arkansas. It was breathtaking and sooooo green. And it rained a lot! We are starting over in the place we were meant to be. In 2018 we will be offering non-soy, nutrient-dense, grass-based, humanely-raised goat, chicken, pork, and turkey.
Perhaps we should have just stayed put but we would have had to compromise on the very thing that feeds our soul. Providing a community of individuals and families the best meat and eggs that money can buy. As the saying goes if you don’t stand for something, you stand for nothing. And that’s when it got real. We wanted to be the best stewards we could be. For the land, for the animals and for the people who could no longer trust their food supply chain. So we packed up and headed to our new farm, our new adventure. Two years in and we are building a new community.
Everyone can’t farm, so starting in 2018 we will be thrilled to be your farmer. Someone you can trust to provide you with the quality of local meat and eggs you and your family deserve. We promise to always be honest about how we raise your food and to always make our farm practices transparent to our community.
