I started growing trombonccino squash in place of zucchini and I’ll never look back.

- They’re more resistant to borers and disease than traditional zucchini.

- Seeds are only down in the bulbous part of the fruit, so that whole long neck is firm and never seedy or mushy.

- They don’t get gross or bitter if you leave them too long. If you get tired of zucchini, like we all do at some point in the summer, let them ripen on the vine and they become what is essentially a giant butternut squash.

- Extra points for looking super cool.

CLAIMED Silverudd’s trio; Black rooster, two blue hens. All just over a year old. Homozygous for blue egg. Would really like these to go as a package deal, mostly because the rooster is top notch and it’d be a shame to stick him in the freezer.

CLAIMED Blue Langshan pullets; two available. From Mad Clucking Farm this spring. Love them, I just don’t need them all.

One Delaware hen, just over a year.

Three Saxony duck hens, hatched in May. improperly colored (culls).

This is Roadrunner. My one and only Red-shouldered Yokohama. I had intentions to get a trio or a small breeding group together but it wasn’t in the cards, as she is the only one from my original 6 that survived. Sometimes those super rare breeds are extra delicate due to limited gene pools. Maybe someday, they’re super neat little birds.
