Winters Harvest Sugar Shack We are 6th generation maple producers who still make it the way our ancestors did, no vacuum, no rev Keith is a 6th generation sugar maker.

He began making Maple Syrup at the age of 4 with his dad at the family sugar house. Keith studied maple production in high school in the BOCES program. He helped in making syrup at a friends sugar house with his dad before entering the service. In 2008, Keith met Judy. Judy had never seen a sugar house nor did she know how it was made. She didn’t even like it! But the process intrigued her and in

2011, Keith and Judy tapped the maple trees and started with 50 taps. They boiled it over a wood stove with Keith’s dad and made 7 1/2 gallons that year. Needless to say Judy became hooked. The following year, they built their sugar house with the help of family and friends and invested in their first maple rig.

We would like to thank everyone who ventured out for coming to our sugarshack for Maple Weekend! We loved showing the process of making maple syrup from beginning to end. Maple season is still in full swing and all are welcome to come to the sugarshack to see us boil. Keep checking on our page to see what's happening!
