I didn’t think I’d be making this post this year, but I may have some extra hook bill hatching eggs available next week. I am NOT selling ducklings. I’ve gotten snowy, bibbed snowy, dusky, bibbed dusky, aluetian, bibbed aluetian, golden dusky, golden aluetian, and bibbed golden aluetian this year from this trio.
It’s $6 an egg. Yeah, I know that’s a lot, but these are endangered birds and my line comes directly from Dave Holderread. There is a lot of labor on my part that goes into ensuring quality (separate breeding pen set up, candling, special diet, fertility tests) and considering adult birds of this breed go for $100+, I’d say it’s a bargain. I’ve had really good fertility this year and it’s time to start spreading awareness about this breed.
I prefer not to ship, as shipped eggs tend to not hatch well and imo are a ripoff.
