Since the 1600's the Rose family has farmed the land on the Branford/North Branford townline. Over the last hundred years the farm has alternated from an orchard, which was decimated during the Hurricane of '38, to a dairy farm, and back again to an orchard in the early '70s. Currently we have expanded our offerings to include a greenhouse filled with tomatoes, other vegetables, bedding plants, a

nd hanging baskets. In addition the family makes their own maple syrup, operates a soft serve frozen custard stand and a bakery, and is expanding their agri-tourism business. seven days a week. The Creamery is now open for the season. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. We thank you for your patronage. The Rose Farm is committed to providing good family fun in a beautiful outdoor setting complete with farm animals for the children to feed, a hay maze for children to play in, and a scenic hayride tour through a covered bridge and the woods enjoyed by young and old alike.

How did we not know this place existed?! 🍦🐄

Rose Orchards in North Branford is so much more than frozen custard. After grabbing frozen custard and a root beer float, we headed over to feed the goats, pet the sweetest cow, spot the peacock, and visit the bunnies and turkey. It turned into one of our favorite family stops!

There are plenty of cherries available for the weekend, but the season will be coming to an end soon.
