No amount of reels, photos, or words could ever capture how we truly feel in this moment. Sad but blessed. Hurting but excited to see what the future brings.
Two years went by so fast. Truthfully it feels too soon to say goodbye, but we are remembering now that everything happens for a reason.
Two things stand out above all else: our beer and our people. The attention, creativity, and care that Kyle put into this beer is absolutely unmatched. Our unique tank system required for Kyle to always be coming up with new recipes, plan so far in advance, and come in on days he could’ve been at home just to put up a new brew for you guys. From your perspective, you don’t always get to see how excited he is about coming up with a new sour for y’all or how hard he is on himself (🙄🤣) to make sure that every beer he puts out is the best quality and damn near perfect for you. All of this wouldn’t have been close to possible without him 🍻
The people.
First, of course, is our staff. These folks became family. Behind the bar they kicked butt, they cared about this place as if it was their own, and they have been a huge support system to us. On a personal level, I am leaving this place with people I now consider my best friends. They keep me sane, they’re always willing to bust out the karaoke machine, and the amount of life talks over shift beers will always mean so much to me. SPRUILL SISTERS FOREVER 🔮🍺
Of course, thank you to David and Jenn who opened this beautiful place that I love so much. It truly feels like a second home to me.
To our regulars who became friends and family, thank you for supporting us, for chatting/laughing/crying with us. The reason I love being behind the bar has always been getting to know people from all walks of life. From sitting and talking with us for hours, to resetting the router and fixing the printer (you know who you are) we appreciate the heck out of all of you. The relationships we formed here are ones that we will hold in our hearts forever.
To Victoria of Buena, we could say thank you one million times and it would never be enough. From days we got our butts kicked to days we wish we had been busier, you have been by our side through it all and never given up on us. You are one of the hardest working people I have ever met and also one of the best friends I have ever gotten the privilege to work beside.
To all of our rotating food trucks and musicians thank you thank you thank you. Thanks for feeding our friends and blessing their ears with great tunes.
We are heartbroken and sad, but we are feeling blessed with the time we had here and hopeful that the next wave we surf will be as wonderful as this one.
Cheers & signing off🌊🏄🏻♀️
