🍦🌧️ FOUR DAYS IN A ROW?! Come on, Mother Nature! 🌧️🌽

We are so disappointed to say that, for the fourth day in a row, our Ice Cream Stand will NOT be opening today. 😭🍦

Apparently, this nor’easter had plans of its own — and they did not include ice cream! Between the flooded fields, wind, rain, and weather that just isn't exactly screaming “Let’s go get a cone!” we’ve had to make the difficult decision to keep the Ice Cream Stand closed again today.
We apologize and promise — we miss you as much as you miss us! ❤️

BUT… the good news is the Farmstand is OPEN today from 9 AM–6 PM! 🌽🍅🥬

And apparently nothing — not even flooded fields — was going to stop John from getting you fresh corn this morning.

😂🚜 He braved the fields, may or may not have gotten a truck stuck once or twice 🤦‍♀️, but he came back victorious!
🌽 FRESH CORN IS PICKED AND READY! 🌽

Along with all of your other farm-fresh favorites, picked fresh this morning.
So while Mother Nature may have won the ice cream battle for the fourth day in a row, she hasn't beaten the farmer yet! 💪🚜🌽

Due to the heavy wind and rain, John George Farms will be closing at 4 PM today to ensure the safety of both our customers and our employees.

We hope everyone is home, safe and dry, enjoying whatever treats you picked up from the farmstand to help wait out the storm! 🏡❤️

🌧️🍦 FRIDAY ICE CREAM UPDATE 🍦🌧️
We’ve checked the weather forecast (and checked it again! 👀), and unfortunately it looks like the rain is expected to move in around 4 PM today.

Since our Ice Cream Stand isn’t scheduled to open until 3 PM, we’ve made the difficult decision NOT to open the Ice Cream Stand today, Friday, September 25th. ☔️

But the Farmstand is OPEN until 6 PM! 🌽🍅🥧

It’s the perfect day to stop by and stock up on all your favorite rainy-day comfort foods. Grab a fresh pie or some whoopie pies for dessert, and pick up fresh vegetables to make a big pot of hot beef stew, homemade soup, or another cozy meal for this rainy weekend. 🥕🥔🧅

🌧️💨🍦 APPARENTLY MOTHER NATURE HAS DECIDED SUMMER IS OVER… WHETHER WE AGREE OR NOT. 😂

A nor’easter in September?! Really?! We weren’t quite ready to break out the raincoats and batten down the hatches just yet! 🤦‍♀️🌧️

We haven’t made the official decision about whether the Ice Cream Stand will be open this weekend, but after looking at the forecast… well… it’s probably safe to assume Mother Nature may be making that decision for us. 😂
So consider this your warning:

🚨🍦 COME STOCK UP ON PINTS & QUARTS BEFORE THE WEEKEND! 🍦🚨

Fill that freezer with your favorite John George Farms ice cream now, because when the wind is howling and the rain is coming down sideways this weekend, you can be sitting comfortably at home with a pint and a spoon thinking, “Well, at least I planned ahead.” 😂

And really… nor’easter snacks are important. We don’t make the rules.

Due to the rain, John George Farms Ice Cream Stand will be closing early at 5 PM today. 🍦☔

But don’t worry—the Farmstand will remain OPEN until 6 PM, so you still have time to stop in and grab your fresh produce and other farmstand favorites! 🌽🍅🥬🍎

☀️ It may be a gorgeous, sunny, 77-degree Friday in September… but who says you can’t have SUMMER and FALL at the same time?! ☀️🍂

At John George Farms, we’re giving you the best of BOTH seasons!

Fall has officially started arriving at the farm with:
🌽 Corn stalks
🎃 Traditional pumpkins
🎃 Ornamental pumpkins
🎃 Small pumpkins
🍎 Apple c***r
🍩 Apple c***r donuts

And because it’s still 77 degrees outside, head over to the Ice Cream Stand and try one of our Apple C***r Floats! 🍎🍦 Apple c***r poured over vanilla or salted caramel ice cream, topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It’s basically fall in a cup… while still requiring absolutely no sweater. 😂

But summer isn’t finished quite yet! ☀️🍑
We just received our LAST shipment of beautiful LOCAL PEACHES for the season, along with our gorgeous hydroponically grown strawberries, fresh blueberries, and all of the regular fresh produce you’ve come to love and enjoy all summer long. 🍓🫐🌽🍅🥒

So come grab your peaches AND your pumpkins, your fresh summer produce AND your apple c***r donuts.

Due to the heavy rain and flood warnings, our Ice Cream Stand will be CLOSED today for the safety of our employees and customers.

🌽 Our Farmstand IS OPEN and will remain open until 6 PM! 🍅🥬

Stop in and stock up on fresh produce and all your farmstand favorites. Please use caution if you’re out on the roads today!

🍂🍎 Summer may be our favorite season, but on a farm, every season has something special to offer! 🌽🍦

There’s nothing quite like summertime at John George Farms—the long days, fresh-picked vegetables, warm nights, and plenty of ice cream. But as farmers, we know that every season is important, and as summer begins to give way to fall, it’s time for us to adjust our Ice Cream Stand hours.
