Update on the screech owl I took to Tamarack Wildlife Center a week ago. First it's a female, she is doing good. They said she was under weight which didn't surprise them with the weather we've had this winter. She was a little dehydrated and also had a concussion which she probably got trying to get out of my barn. The prognosis is pretty good and they will probably bring her back to the farm to release when she's strong enough and the weather looks to be good. I'll try to get a video when they do bring her back for the release.

Found this little guy in the barn while doing my chores this evening. Ended up taking him to Tamarack Wildlife Center ....

Found this little guy in the barn while doing my chores this evening. Ended up taking him to Tamarack Wildlife Center . Hopefully it will be OK. They think he's probably dehydrated and really hungry as these small owls have a hard time finding food in this weather.

The gang came out to enjoy some sunshine. The way the forecast sounds, they'll predict be in the barn for at least a few days.
