Today’s fun at Trades Week was all about landscaping!

Students rolled up their sleeves and gained hands-on experience learning about landscaping right here at The Lot. We also had a special visit from Tim with Ecovision, LLC, who shared about his business, the work they do!

Ecovision is a local, family-owned ecological landscaping company that designs, installs, and cares for beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces. They specialize in edible landscapes, native plants, bamboo, food forests, and other environmentally friendly landscaping solutions throughout Southwest Florida.

We are so thankful Tim took the time to share his knowledge and give our students a firsthand look into the landscaping trade. Be sure to check out Ecovision, LLC and see the incredible outdoor spaces they create!

We can’t believe School Prep Week is already next week! The kids are going to have a blast waking up those school brains with quick assessments, games, hands-on challenges, creative projects, reading, math, and lots of outdoor fun!

Going back to school can bring a few butterflies, so our hope is that every child finishes the week feeling more confident, comfortable, and excited about the year ahead.

⚡ Today was an exciting day in our Trades Program! ⚡

Our students got hands-on with electricity and learned how a complete circuit works. They connected batteries and wires, hooked their circuits up to switches, lit miniature bulbs, and even powered mini fans!

There was so much excitement each time they flipped a switch and saw their hard work come to life. They experimented, solved problems, adjusted their connections, and kept trying until everything worked. Watching their confidence grow as they built something with their own hands was definitely a highlight of the day!

🔨⚡ Our Trades Program is Almost Here! 🪚🌿

We're so excited for this one!

From July 20-24, students will get the chance to step into the world of the skilled trades through fun, hands-on workshops and real-life projects. They'll explore exciting skills like plumbing, electrical work, woodworking, landscaping, sewing, baking, art, and more!

Our goal is simple: let kids discover new talents, build confidence, create with their own hands, and meet people who use these skills every day. You never know what passion might be sparked in just one week!

Whether your child already loves building and creating or simply enjoys trying new things, this program is packed with opportunities to learn, laugh, and make unforgettable memories.

We wrapped up our Homesteading Program yesterday with a little tree removal and homemade jam, and it was the perfect way to end an incredible week!

This summer has been such a blessing, and we're not finished yet!

Next week, we'll be serving at Vacation Bible School at North Fort Myers Presbyterian Church - PCA, and then we'll be back at the homestead July 20–24 for our Trades Program!

Students will get to explore hands-on skills like plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, landscaping, sewing, baking, art, and more while learning from people who love what they do.

We still have a few spots available, and we'd love to have your family join us. Don't miss out on a week of learning, creating, building, and making memories together!
