Look what just popped up in my OneDrive memories! 📸 For the last four years, May 22nd always looked like this on our farm—we were getting tons of fruit right off the trees. 🥭 Fast forward to today, and it's a completely different story. Freezing temperatures took a heavy toll this season, leaving us with zero fruit and forcing us to cut many of our trees way back. Farming definitely has its highs and lows, but we are resilient and ready to rebuild! 🌱✨

This weekend's freezing temperatures could be devastating for tropical fruit trees. It is unusual for Southwest Florida, especially given our location in zone 10a. We are implementing preventive measures and covering the trunk with foam to safeguard the tree.

Cold weather not stopping us from planting new Mango trees! We just planted 5 Orange sherbet, 5 Sunrise, 10 Mahachonok,10 Super Alfonso, 3 Kathy, 3 Sweet Tart and some other prominent mango verities!

To achieve successful pollination, multiple Mamey trees are necessary. Since our sole tree has not borne fruit in recent years, we have planted various Mamey tree varieties around it to promote growth and aid in the pollination of the larger tree. Once these trees reach maturity, we will transfer them together to a permanent location.
