Having chicken in the freezer gives you a place to start—whether you’re planning a Sunday roast or pulling together a quick weeknight supper.

Our new Farm Chicken Box brings those options together in one order:
• Two whole chickens, approximately 3.5–4 pounds each
• About 2 pounds each of boneless breasts, bone-in thighs, drumsticks, and party wings

Approximately 15–16 pounds of pastured Freedom Ranger chicken, raised here at Kindred Crossings Farm. Everything comes uncooked and frozen—thaw what you need, season it how you like, and save the rest for another meal.

BIG NEWS FOR THE STORRS WINTER FARMERS MARKET!

We’re growing! We are so excited to announce that the Storrs Winter Farmers Market has a new winter home at UConn’s Ratcliffe Hicks Arena!

Over the past month, so many members of our community have helped us search for a larger location that would give us room to grow while keeping the market convenient for our longtime customers, the Mansfield community, and UConn students. Thank you to everyone who shared ideas, made connections, reached out on our behalf, and helped us explore possibilities.

We’re also incredibly grateful to the local organizations that offered to open their doors to us along the way.

A huge thank you to UConn and UConn CAHNR for making this possible! We’re looking forward to strengthening our partnership with the university, building on relationships with groups like the Conn Horticulture Club and UConn Nutrition UConn Healthy Family CT, and welcoming even more students, faculty, departments, clubs, and organizations to the market.

And a special thank you to the Mansfield Public Library for its continued support. We’re grateful to continue that partnership with four special Library Market Days this season.

All markets run Saturdays, 3–5 PM. Our last OUTDOOR market at the Mansfield Town Hall Green is November 7th.

Every one of these bags means fresh, local food is heading to someone’s kitchen.

We love working with Mesa Comunitaria and CLiCk to bring nutritious food—including our farm products—to neighbors who might otherwise have a hard time accessing it.

Good food should be within reach. We’re grateful to be part of the local farms, food hub staff, and volunteers helping make that happen.
