Sad to say that we lost one of our chickens Sunday late afternoon . A man was walking with his dog not on a leash at the franklin lakes reservoir/ nature preserve and the dog ( a cocker spaniel ) came into our yard and brutally attacked and killed one of our chickens right in front of us.

The owner , an older gentleman showed no remorse for his dogs actions . Very sad.

The Guido boys as well as some neighbors kids are traumatized by this event. We are thankful , however , the dog didn’t attack any of the 4 kids that were in the yard .
Please please please use a leash at all times when your out with your dog especially if cannot control your dog.

We don’t blame the dog. We blame the human.
