Loved this little dram of a classic Kentucky bourbon. Bottled in Bond at 100 proof, this whiskey starts smooth with some dried stone fruits and a little vanilla, caramel then finishing with some low end spicy, woody notes. It should be a go to bottle you kinda stash in the back of your cabinet for friends who know.

An early Whisky Spy Recon Mission at Bourbon & Bones Chophouse in Old Town Scottsdale. Their ‘book’ is impressive and the Michter’s Single Barrel Straight Smoked Rye Manhattan paired well with a lump crab cake app. Been here just north of five years but opened up a late night bites and cocktail lounge next door a couple weeks ago. The complimentary maple bacon candy on the side kicks it up close to perfection.

Wood you? Of course! Found ourselves visiting Seattle for a wedding on a long weekend. Decided on whim to drop into Woodinville for a random afternoon. Unfortunately the distillery was closed today but fortunately for us The Hollywood Tavern next door was open for a wonderful drop in. An Old Fashioned, a dram, and purely simple, delicious food. Lovely company with my love, just made it better!

A great inspired shot from my friend . I’m currently in the UK, wrapping up a 3 week trip to ride motorcycles around the North Coast 500 while he is seeing his wife off for an extended working stint in Amsterdam. I’m guessing this is the settling in (duty free) whisky to keep in the apartment. Good times going on for good friends. Slainte. I miss my wife ♥️
