•We donate funds to ProStart, a high school culinary challenge as well as to Clark County School District's S

outheast Career Technical Academy Culinary Program.
•The Shade Tree Women’s Shelter receives a generous donation of gifts at Christmas and we donate funds to Opportunity Village.
•We also assist in supporting the Nevada State Junior Hot Team at state and regional competitions which provides the opportunity for students to practice their skills.
•We host a Christmas Party and a Golf Tournament for our community sponsors.
•This year we established Scholarships for Students, and will be honoring lucky recipients with funds for culinary school.
•Our Chef of the Year gala dinner culminates each season by allowing us to celebrate the accomplishments of our members. A Culinary Journey

We want to take the opportunity, on behalf of ACF Las Vegas Chefs, to warmly wish you all, your families and your colleagues and friends, all the very best for the Christmas and New Year holiday season. May you have a peaceful and safe holiday, and good health and good fortune (with less unwelcome surprises!) Even with all the chaos the pandemic has presented us with, there is still so much to be thankful for this Christmas. As we flip the last page of our lives for the year, we make a mental note of everything that has impacted our life.

Let us remember that the Christmas heart is a giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first, for that’s the only way to love.

ACF Chefs of Las Vegas !!

Cheers 🥂

Hello to, All ACF Chefs Las Vegas Members,

The time is coming for the ACF Chefs National Convention!

ACF Chefs Las Vegas Chapter is hosting this event this year in July 2022. The last time ACF Chefs Las Vegas hosted the National Convention was July 2013.

We need to repeat the success we had in the previous convention.

I am calling on ALL Members to challenge themselves to outdo the performance we had with the event in 2013 and surpass the success of that year.

It is my goal that we can begin the process of organizing for this event now, so we will be prepared to provide flawless ex*****on of the tasks we are obligated to manage. I want to show all the other chapters that ACF Chefs Las Vegas members are the best of the best.

I am calling all members to step up and showcase their pride in our craft by volunteering to participate in the tasks we are responsible for as the host city.

The Chapter is in need of 75 to 100 volunteers for July 24--28.

In addition, please reach out to all vendors to see if they are willing to support the ACF Chefs Convention this year.

For Anyone whose membership has lapsed, can we get you to reconsider and rejoin your Chapter? I myself feel we have a strong bond within the chapter with all being involved.

Even if you decide not to join as an official member, we can still use your help as a volunteer to make this a successful event and show the world that Las Vegas is still the best.

This is what we need:

** Local Donation of culinary equipment

Local Donation of culinary equipment from host chapters resources to use for education sessions, including, but not limited to: (6-8) stainless steel prep tables, (7) speed racks with (375) sheet pans, and assorted small wares as requested by the National office in advance. Depending on needs, items may vary. Equipment available for use only during the event and not for ACF to keep.

Deadline to secure items: April 1,2022 or the ACF National Office will secure, and this portion of the agreement will be voided.

** Chapter Participation

Host chapter member participation is crucial to the success of the event. The host chapter will receive a bonus when 25% of the chapter members are fully registered for all or part of the conference (this does not include meal only tickets ie, member is registered for
AAC dinner or gala dinner only).

As of the signing of this agreement, the chapter has 182 members in good standing according to ACF National records. To receive the full stipend, 25% of this number is required to receive this stipend.

** (2) Welcome Reception Chapter Tables

Host Chapter will have the opportunity to create (2) culinary/pastry action stations to showcase the local culinary talent of their chapter members. This is the chapter's opportunity to highlight local cuisine for their fellow membership. Host Chapter should anticipate between 800 - 1,000 members to attend this function.

** Chapter Pop-Up Tasting

Secure at least 8 pop-up tastings (2 per day). Pop-up tastings will need to be a minimum of 100 individual samples per tasting. Pop-up tastings are to highlight the chapter members and the local culinary flavor. Pop-up tastings will receive exposure to all attendees and will be announced through ACF's mobile app (Pop-Up Tasting Guidelines will be provided by the National Office (Less than 8 pop-up tastings will be pro-rated at 200.00 per pop-up scheduled).

Please let me know what you can commit to by Wednesday March 28, 2022, so I can advise the National Office as to what we can provide per the contract.

I appreciate your cooperation and dedication to bring this commitment to fruition for the benefit of our local chapter.

Respectfully,

Chef George Bailey
ACF Chefs Las Vegas President
