Pumpkin Update #3 - WE HAVE LEAVES! 🌱🎃

After almost 6 inches of rain, Farmer Dean was relieved to find the first pumpkin plants emerging from the soil.

Those tiny first leaves are called cotyledons, and they’re growing safely under a blanket of crimped rye grass, which helps protect the soil and these baby pumpkins as they get established.

It’s hard to believe these little sprouts will someday become giant carving pumpkins and colorful specialty pumpkins spread across 22 acres.

The pumpkin journey is officially underway. Follow along all summer long, and we’ll see you in the patch this fall! 🍂

🎃 Pumpkin Update #2

Believe it or not, this field is full of pumpkins.

Well… pumpkin seeds, anyway 🌱

Over the last few weeks, Farmer Dean has planted 22 acres of pumpkins here at the farm, including everything from giant carving pumpkins to specialty pumpkins in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

Right now, the fields may not look like much, but every pumpkin starts as a tiny seed planted with a whole lot of hope (and patience).

We’ll be sharing pumpkin updates all summer long so you can follow the journey from seed to harvest. And before you know it, you’ll be picking your perfect pumpkin right here this fall 🎃🍂

Today’s pumpkin count: 1.
Farmer Dean had to dig for it 😆

Follow along as we watch the magic happen!

It's National Donut Day! 🍩

While we may be in the middle of summer preparations, we're already thinking about one of our favorite fall traditions...

Fresh apple cider donuts. 🤎

Made throughout the season and enjoyed by thousands of guests each year, they've become a must-have farm treat.

Who's planning to grab a dozen (or two) this fall? 😋
