I got to make desserts for the wedding of a young lady that I first met many years ago by being her babysitter. Her mom and I would take turns babysitting each other’s kids so that we could enjoy date night here or there with our spouse in the early stages of parenthood without having to pay for a sitter. I made a Garner sized cake yesterday. What is a Garner sized cake? It’s two 12x12” cakes pushed together to make one big cake. One layer only to get plenty of frosting per bite. It was made famous by one of my husband’s coworkers who orders it frequently. She hoped if I went into business that her size cake could have her family’s name attached to it. Wish granted!
