Ca BlackBerry’s Zen Chang (aka Frosty) kidded last night with buck/doe twins! Frosty is the daughter to the 2022 National Champion Big Hoofhearted RB Luna. She is bred to Wingwood Farm Fish Aggie. This is a super exciting, jam-packed pedigree. The doe will be staying and the buck will be available, possible as a buckling, but most certainly a wether.

It’s been a while since an update, but we are still here and knee-deep in kidding season! We started out with a bang and had 17 kids born in 5 days - that’s 7 does and we only have 4 kidding stalls! Here’s a peek of making do with the space we have. It’s been a whirlwind, but we now have a few more spread out over the next few months. We are evaluating our keeper kids and we will have wethers and does available with stunning pedigrees! Stay tuned for details of specific animals available!

On our way back from Wingwood Farm to breed one of our Nubians we encountered some issues. And then had to get the spare tire out from where the goays were. Ooooppps. Thinking this goat better settle for all the extra trouble this trip caused. 😂

Gravy is ready to get the job done. He had a light year last year, but based on how his daughter freshened and udder improvements he threw, he will have much to do this fall!

Successful day showing with our buddy Elliot from Scrappy Acres Farm at Girdley Goat show! The girls did so well. Highlights include Mackenzie’s homebred junior Nubian taking reserve champion in ring one and just missing reserve in ring two. Our friend Elliot earned reserve champion in ring one with her “fancy” toggenberg jr kid. What a great day!! Our nigis all landed mostly middle to forst half of the ring. What a long and HOT day!!!

This girl had phenomenal day showing goats at the California State Fair. It was tough competition in the open show, but our goats did very well in the youth show! Our highlight was Mac’s Flying Farm Vanilla Latte winning first place jr kid in the open show! It was a long day, showing from 10am-5:30pm non stop, but we had so much fun!

We are so proud of our girl who took first place showmanship at the California State Fair! The judge remarked that she had a perfect showmanship, and had nothing to fault her on. He did say he had to tease her a little because she doesn’t smile but no where on the ADGA scorecard does it say you have to smile. He told her that she should show at nationals. So we are all proud over here!!!
