What a weekend. ♥️
First, I just have to say THANK YOU. We had a record-setting weekend at the farm stand, and I’m still a little blown away by it. The support you all continue to show our little stand and our family means more than I could ever put into words. Every stop, purchase, share, comment and kind word matters. I am just so incredibly grateful for every single one of you. 🥹
After getting everything stocked and ready for the weekend, Dustin and I snuck away for a little getaway to Lincoln!
First, we sent Carla off to greener pastures. 🐄♥️ I’m going to miss that girl terribly, but she went to a wonderful home where I know she is going to have a great life and continue doing what she does best as a milk cow. Bittersweet for sure.
Then we got to spend some much-needed time with my brother and sister-in-law, and since Mom is staying with them for a couple weeks, we got some time with her too. Lots of laughing, visiting and just enjoying being together.
And then… I got to check something BIG off my bucket list. 😭
Dustin and I headed to Memorial Stadium and got to see Cross Canadian Ragweed LIVE. One of my all-time dreams has been to see them in concert, so there was absolutely no way we were missing this one. I’m still not over it. 🤘🏼
I didn’t get nearly as many pictures as I normally would, but honestly, I was too busy soaking it all in. And I’m pretty okay with that.
Of course, farm life doesn’t exactly allow for sleeping in after a weekend away 😂 so we headed home bright and early this morning. The second our feet hit the ground back home, it was right back into farm mode. The animals don’t care that we had a late night at a concert. 😂 And truthfully, we wouldn’t change a thing. ♥️
And a HUGE thank you to Papa Dale, Nana Dee and Papa Steve for taking such good care of Pete while we were gone and making his weekend pretty dang special too! Monster trucks, fishing, getting to meet Rebecca Allick and so much more. I’m pretty sure he had just as much fun as we did. ♥️
Our hearts are full, our feet are tired, and now it’s back to the cows, chickens, baking and all the beautiful chaos around here.
Seriously, thank you for making this record-setting weekend at the stand possible. We appreciate you guys more than you know. 🫶🏼
