Warm weather is around the corner! ☀️ We’ve had some cold, windy days recently but we’re looking forward to the sunny days ahead. Despite that, the salad, kale, broccoli, strawberries, peaches, garlic, onions, scallions and blueberries are growing very well. Think of us this summer for your fruit and veggie needs!

Hello everyone, we’re back! We’ve been gearing up for our very first grow season. Watermelons, strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes, corn, onions, garlic, wildflowers and many more plants and veggies will be on the menu this year and in the fall we will have a pick-a-pumpkin patch for Halloween!! We purchased some machinery including a tractor and a few choice implements to help in the growing process. We are excited to start plowing and planting and will have some healthy goodies to share with you soon!

The average age of farmers in the U.S. is about 58 years. You can imagine my surprise when the hay farmer I had been speaking to showed up and told me he was a first year owner-operator of a 80 acre hay farm at the young age of 28. We chatted while we offloaded the hay I had purchased and quickly parted ways so we could both get back to work. As the cold sets in across the northeast, farmers are prepping and storing for winter. Stay tuned for our first annual garlic/onion planting!

The half-ton bed capacity for the Tacoma is just a suggestion…but seriously, some real progress has been made on the farm! All the trees and brush around the barn have been cleared out, fence posts are being put up, and a contractor has been out to assess the barn. That part will certainly be a work in progress…thank you all for following along!
