Looking for something fun to do over fall break?

Come spend a little time at Albright Acres. There are still so many flowers blooming, the U-pick sunflowers are open, we have pumpkins from the patch, fresh wrapped bouquets for $10, beautiful spots for fall pictures, and a wooded trail that leads down toward the creek.

Come pick some flowers, grab a bouquet or pumpkin, take a few pictures, and enjoy a fall afternoon on the farm.

Last night’s Southern Gospel Night may have been our best-attended event at the farm so far. We estimate that around 80 people came out, and our vendors told us they had a good evening too. That matters to me because part of the reason we host these events is to bring our community together while also supporting other local small businesses.

Thank you to the Gospel Servants Quartet and David Hatfield for sharing your music and ministry with us. Thank you to all of our vendors, everyone who helped us prepare, and every person who brought a lawn chair and spent the evening with us.

Seeing people sitting together among the flowers, visiting, eating, shopping, and listening to Southern Gospel music was exactly what I had hoped this evening would be.

Thank you for continuing to show up and support our little flower farm. We are so grateful.

Good food, something sweet, local shopping, and Southern Gospel music are all coming together this Friday at Albright Acres Flower Farm!

Grab dinner from The Kick Stand Food Truck or Swazeey Tenderloin Truck, stop by Wild Rose Mobile Sips & Sweets for a drink, and save room for dessert from LuLu’s.

You can also shop with B & J Hobby Barn, Hoosier Meltdown Laser Art, CB Spices, and Created Christian Boutique while enjoying an evening on the farm.

I’m excited to share some good news!

Last night, I received a $1,000 Women-Owned Small Business Grant from Indiana Farm Bureau for Albright Acres Flower Farm & Nursery.

I plan to use the money to help build a small farm store here on the farm. Of course, it will give us a place to sell our flowers and produce, but I want it to be more than that. I want local home-based vendors to have a place where they can sell their products year-round, and I want our community to have a place where they can shop for locally grown and locally made items.

The grant won’t pay for the whole building, but it gives us a great start—and makes this little farm store feel a lot closer to becoming a reality.

Thank you, infarmbureau, for helping us take the first step. I’m excited to get started and share the progress along the way!

We sincerely apologize to anyone who tried to visit Albright Acres yesterday and was unable to reach the farm. We did not become aware that access was being restricted until late in the afternoon. Once we became aware of the situation, it was addressed and access to the farm was restored.

We are grateful for your patience and understanding, and we hope you’ll come see us today! The flower farm will be open from 1:00–8:30 p.m.

What a beautiful evening at the farm.

& Blooms at Albright Acres Flower Farm was everything I hoped it would be! Good music, beautiful weather, families spending the evening together, and even a couple of pretty adorable little musicians joining in.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and spent part of your Saturday with us, and especially to all of the musicians and vendors who helped make the evening possible.

There is just something special about sitting outside on a summer evening listening to live music at the farm.

We are already looking forward to doing it again.

TODAY IS THE DAY!

Bluegrass & Blooms at Albright Acres Flower Farm starts at 4 PM at Albright Acres Flower Farm.

Here’s tonight’s music schedule:

4:00–4:45 — Noah Moore-Benge
4:45–5:00 — Community Pickin’ Circle
5:00–6:00 — Westside Revelers
6:00–6:30 — Community Pickin’ Circle
6:30–8:30 — Opal Creek and the Wends
8:30–9:00 — Community Pickin’ Circle

The farm opens at 4 PM for U-Pick flowers, food trucks, music and gathering on the lawn.

Admission is $5 per person with a $20 family maximum, and kids 15 & under are free.

Bring a chair or blanket and come spend the evening with us.

Bluegrass & Blooms at Albright Acres Flower Farm is TOMORROW!

Here’s what you need to know before you head to the farm:

Saturday, August 22
4:00–9:00 PM

Live bluegrass begins at 4 PM
U-Pick flowers
Local food trucks
Community Pickin’ Circles
$5 admission
$20 maximum admission per family
Kids 15 & under free

Bring your own chairs or blankets, wear comfortable shoes for walking around the farm, and feel free to bring a water bottle.

Parking is free in the field behind Dollar General. Just follow the event signs.
