Our farm market in North Scituate, RI, opens for the season in August. Raspberries, blueberries and blackberries are in full production. Our farm is open for pick your own fruit in season including raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, sunflowers, cut flowers, apples, pumpkins and occasionally peaches. Our sweet apple cider is produced on-site beginning in mid-September and usually available September through sometime in winter or spring. We are open every day until Halloween, and may have limited hours in November until Thanksgiving. Hours will be posted here on our page when they have been determined. We also attend summer and winter farmers markets that are posted on our website and or page.

An early post with exciting news!
***It's Evercrisp, Granny Smith and Pink Lady opening weekend. Our patience has paid off with great flavor on these varieties. There will also be Ambrosia, Empire, Crispin (Mutsu), Fuji, Liberty, Northern Spy, Idared, and maybe a few Macoun. Cortland and Honeycrisp should be tasted and given a little squeeze before you pick a lot, background color should be more green, less yellow.
There will be fresh, sweet apple c***r and apples available for sale in our Farm Market.
We are open for picking Fri-Sat 9am-4pm, Sunday 11am-4 pm and Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm, and our Market is open 1 hour after picking closes.
***Saturday and Sunday New England Carriage Company will offer wagon rides through the orchard. Rides will be 10-12 minutes, $10/person and the wagon holds about 14 people.
***NAVAD Bakers pastry will be featured this weekend (and maybe a few c***r doughnuts) .
*** Big Bobby's Q will offer their authentic barbeque meals for sustenance on your rigorous picking journey.

Guess what now.... Its mid-October and Fuji picking weekend! We have a great crop of sweet tasting Fuji!
Also picking, McIntosh, Macoun, Cortland, Liberty, Ambrosia, Empire, Idared, Northern Spy, Crispin (Mutsu), a few Golden Delicious and Rome Beauty left, maybe even a Stayman Winesap, or Baldwin (in the row next to Elmdale Road).

Coming on the weekend of October 24, 2026 Granny Smith, Pink Lady and Evercrisp!!!!

We are Open:
Fri & Sat 9am-4 pm for picking; Market closes at 5
Sunday* 11am-4pm for picking; Market closes at 5
* Big Bobby's Q food truck will have authentic BBQ at the farm
Mon thru Thurs 9am-5pm for picking; Market closes at 5.

Our Market will be open until Thanksgiving.
In month of November, 2026, we'll be open 10am-4pm Friday through Monday.

Our pumpkin field will be open on Saturday, but Jack Frost is coming overnight Saturday, so Sunday it may be closed...TBD. We still have lots of pumpkins and made more sweet apple c***r this week.

A few words about this apple tree at our driveway entrance. I'm estimating that it was planted in the 1960's. Anyone want to guess what variety it is? Not sure how much longer it has to be upright. The trunk is about hollow, but it produced some very nice apples this season.

Going to be a beautiful Columbus Day weekend! That means the Macouns finally have full flavor, Ambrosia are ready and its the Scituate Art Festival.
Please come to the farm via Route 44 then turn west onto Route 116 south or take Hopkins Avenue off of Route 6, left on Winsor Avenue to Route 116 to get to our Orchard at 56 Elmdale Road in North Scituate.

Lots of apples are available for pick your own.
McIntosh, Cortland, Honeycrisp, Liberty, Empire, and opening Ambrosia, Golden Delicious, Crispin (Mutsu), Rome, Idared, and Northern Spy this weekend.

Our picking entry hours are:
11-4 Sunday,
Columbus Day Mon 9am-4pm
Tue-Thur 9am-5pm
Fri-Sat 9am-4pm.
Our Farm Market is open 1 hour after picking hours end.

Had to pick the tops of these Cortland rows to avoid the wind blowing the whole row down! There were a few hardy souls who braved the wind and rain to come pick apples today! They certainly avoided the crowds! We are open for apple (Macoun, Honeycrisp, McIntosh, Cortland, Liberty and Gala), and red raspberry picking and we still actually have a few blueberries for picking. Our Farm Market is open
11-5 Sunday,
Mon-Thur 9am-6pm
Fri-Sat 9am-5pm.
Our picking hours end 1 hour prior to closing.
Next weekend, Oct . 3-4, we will open our pumpkin patch for pick your own pumpkins...off of the vine.
We have freshly made sweet apple c***r, pumpkins, mums, and lots of treats in our Farm Market.
Also, for three weekends in mid-October we will have Big Bobby's Q at the orchard for an excellent true barbeque menu.
Come and taste the good stuff.

Honeycrisp!!! Our trees are so full of apples, lots of McIntosh, Gala, Cortland and Honeycrisp. Also, lots of raspberries to pick, some sweet corn, and pumpkins!!
Also, doughnuts from C***r and Spice, kettle corn, Nuts from RI nut company and our first press of sweet apple c***r for the season!

Pick your own honeycrisp, Gala, McIntosh and Cortland apples. We will also have red raspberries available. Blueberries are almost cleaned out...however, we have white and yellow peaches and white sweet corn in our Farm Market. Lots of beautiful flowers from CabinFever Flower Farm! Come out on this beautful Saturday for some freshly harvested fruit and flowers.

Labor day weekend looks beautiful! Lots of tart McIntosh, sweet Gala and crispy Honeycrisp apples, red raspberries and still some blueberries for picking this weekend. Please note, peach picking is closed for now.
Sweet corn 🌽, peaches 🍑and delicious nectarines are available in our Farm Market. We are open:
Saturday 9am-4 pm for picking, market closes at 5

We are now open at Barden Family Orchard for apple picking! McIntosh and Premier Honeycrisp.
Blueberry, and raspberry picking are also available daily except Thursday.
Picking hours are:
Friday and Saturday 9am-4pm
Sunday 11am-4pm
Mon- Thur 9am-5pm
Our Farm Market is open an additional hour after picking ends.
We continue to have our own white and yellow peaches in our Market. This week we have also begun to pick Yellow Nectarines!!
Please note that there is no peach or nectarine picking at this time.
