We have some exciting news! Our *new* farm stand on Fishtown Road will have its grand opening tomorrow at 3 PM! After tomorrow, it will be open every day from 8 AM - 8 PM. Please spread the word and encourage your friends and family to pay our stand a visit to support a local farm working hard to produce nutrient-dense, environmentally-conscious food. 🫶🏽

We tucked in the last of our seed garlic today. We planted over 1,300 row feet this year! Why so much? Well, mainly because we love growing and cooking with garlic and seeing what other people cook with our garlic. Also, because garlic boosts your immune system, helps reduce high blood pressure, has antibiotic properties, and may even prevent Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Garlic rocks at helping us prevent and repel certain pests from our garden. We noticed a much higher demand for seed garlic this year at the garlic festivals and markets we attended, and we love helping people who are new to growing the crop learn how to grow it. So, our goal is to do more of that in 2024. 😊

These photos don’t do them justice! We started roughly 80 elderberry plants from cuttings two years ago, and look at them now! They’re well over 10 feet tall and covered in flowers, which will soon all be berries. We attribute their success to a lot of deep mulching, protecting them from predators early on, and weekly foliar feedings. Our *hope* is to be able to offer syrup at this year’s Garlic Festival! 🤞🏼
