White Oak Stables offers Horsemanship Lessons, Training and Boarding, along with Restorative Riding for Exceptional Children. You can schedule a group lesson with us ($30 per student) or you can schedule a private lesson ($40 for one-on-one instruction). All lessons are an hour long. Our Restorative Riding Lessons for Exceptional Children are one-on-one lessons for $35. If you have any questions or would like to visit us, please call Sammi at (336)483-7440. Sammi has 28 years of riding experience and 10 years instructing people to ride and educating people about horses. She has trained and worked with traumatized and neglected horses since she was 14 years old. Sammi has shown horses for 9 years in English and Western pleasure, jumping, gymcona, 4-H shows and open shows. she still enjoys having shows at the barn and attending them when possible with her students. This all started in New York state with her taking lessons when she was 8 years old and wanting a pony. Sammi has learned many tricks to working with her horses and not forcing them. When Sammi teaches lessons her main focus is for the rider to have fun but learn to respect the horse and be in control, safely.
