🍁 We WILL NOT BE hosting Maine Maple Sunday as we have retired from our maple business. Thank you! 🍁

Dear valued customers,

We have made the decision to retire from our “professional” maple career and go back to producing syrup as a hobby again, effectively immediately. We are totally out of syrup this year and WILL NOT be hosting Maine Maple Sunday.

We truly appreciate EACH ONE OF YOU who made our business as successful as it was. We were able to form some wonderful relationships over the past 4 years and we’ll forever be greatful.

Fondly,

Eric and Patti Robinson

This time of year has us reflecting on some of our favorite holiday traditions 🎄

We like to kick off the season decorating the house and Christmas tree with our family while we celebrate Eric’s birthday, which falls earlier in December. Each year, we look forward to baking with our grandchildren, singing Christmas songs, catching up with friends, and spending time with our family.

What are some of your favorite traditions?

We honor all our Veterans for their service and for protecting our freedom 🇺🇸🙏🏽
This past spring, we traveled to Washington D.C. with our son, Josh, to celebrate his recent graduation. While there, we visited the Poseidon C-3 Missile at Udvar-Hazy Center. Eric worked on the Poseidon while on a nuclear submarine in the Navy.

Our Story

Robinson Family Maple, LLC. is located in North Yarmouth, Maine and is owned and operated by Eric and Patti Robinson. Our sugar shack sits on 28 beautifully wooded acres, which was once part of Patti’s grandparents’ 100 acre farm.

Robinson Family Maple, LLC is a Maine Licensed Maple Syrup Producer and is a member of the Maine Maple Producers Association and the Southern Maine Maple Sugarmakers Association. We are proud to be producing great tasting Pure Maine Maple Syrup and are excited to be able to offer this to the public.

Our early beginnings:

In 2007, Patti’s mother, Norma Soucie, bought Eric his first 5 buckets for his birthday because Eric thought he might like to try producing maple syrup. Each year since then, we have been producing maple syrup for friends and family, adding more buckets every year until we eventually started using tubing. We have gone from tapping just 5 trees that first year to 130 as of today, with the potential to tap around 1,000. We have gone from boiling sap outside in steam pans and a 2x4 flat pan to this year building a sugar shack. This effort has been a full family effort thanks to the generous efforts of our children, grandchildren, and families. We also upgraded our 2 x 4 flat pan to a more efficient 2 x 4 drop flue pan set, which has been a wonderful addition. The one thing that hasn't changed over the past 13 years, however, is that we’ve cooked every single drop of sap on an old woodstove that Patti’s grandfather made over 30 years ago. We know that he would have enjoyed this process as much as we have.
