Our favorite announcer is back for Donkey Day! Carolyn Stearns has over 20 years’ experience announcing events in the agricultural sector. From 4-H events to Farm Festivals, Cowboy Mounted Shooting and dairy events. Add to this list her passion for announcing donkey events that has had her ringside in several states, announcing and educating the audience.
Carolyn resides on a multi-generational farm in eastern Connecticut. She has been a 4-H leader for many years as well as a FFA chaperone, public speaking, and horse judging coach. For 20 years she has been a performance oral storyteller working in schools, museums, and organizations.
In 2020 Carolyn published her first novel How Far is Safe? This novel is a historical fiction story of a boy and his beloved donkey. What could be more perfect? AND, we've asked her to bring books with her!
