The peak of summer. County Fair.
It's the week the kids have worked the entire year for. Because we raise our own show lambs the work starts long before that lamb is even on the ground. And the kids are a daily part of it.
We just came home after a 5 day adrenaline rush of all the things we love about county fair. Sheep show. Spending time with friends. Walking around the fair. Making new friends. Beer garden nights (that's for Mom and Dad), Demo Derby. Fair food. Blue Ribbon Premium Auction. Jackpot sheep show. Educating fairgoers on sheep. Earning a state fair trip. And so much more!
As a parent, I am beyond proud of my kids and the things they are doing in 4H and their sheep project! This week is the cherry on top. The week I see how much they have grown in their skills. A visual reminder that my babies are very quickly growing and becoming more than I could ever have dreamed of. A week of complete and utter, beautiful, crazy choas, that in the end, I wouldn't trade for anything.
Now, laundry awaits.
