We're excited that Dr. Kelly Froehlich is letting us use her "sheep dystocia simulator" that we've named Stasia! A slightly larger than life model sheep, you will learn how to pull singles / twins / triplets no matter how tangled they are in the uterus. OB gloves, leg snare, lamb puller, J-Lube provided.
If you’re a farmer that wants to learn the basic vet skills needed to provide sustainable care for your livestock, join The Wifery Livestock Skills Consortium on April 11. You will receive both textbook and hands-on training, as well the equipment needed to perform these skills:
Assisting difficult births
Tubing babies
Analyzing nutritional needs of lactating mamas
Multiple solutions: certified organic to pharmaceuticals
Recordkeeping
More if time allows
Cost is $50 per attendee. You will receive training and a vet kit with $100+ worth of the needed equipment & supplies to perform the skills.
Class size is limited to 22. We'll need a minimum of 10 to hold the class. Registration closes April 2. Pre-registration and payment is required.
