Hi honey fans! We took the summer off from Riverwalk, but we’re still planning to be around for the Carleton and St.Olaf craft fairs, as well as Fine Craft Collective. See you soon!

Hi everyone! Just a heads up that we will not be selling honey at the Fine Art Fair this weekend. We will continue, however, to peddle honey from our front porch in Downtown Northfield. Call me at 612-598-6194 if you need a honey fix.

To everything, there is a season. We have done Riverwalk for the last eight summers, ever since it began. Laura is now teaching art at Holy Cross School, and baby Edith is keeping everyone extra busy. We have come to the realization that maintaining a regular schedule at Riverwalk is just more than we are physically capable of right now. We plan to be at DJJD, and to maybe do two more Saturday markets, but we need to scale back, for the sake of everyone's sanity. I will always have bees, but we need to put the large production on hold. We're also working on an alternate, less intensive retail option, so watch this space for updates, and thank you for all your years of patronage!

Holy cow - this has been a rough summer for Schoolhouse Apiary! Rain every Saturday market, and now the primary beekeeper, aka me, has a nasty sprained ankle. So we’re really not sure about Riverwalk tomorrow. To cheer you up, though, here are my most recent beekeeping trainees, from Simple Harvest Farm Organics, checking out the equipment for the first time.
