Last cutting of hay for 2026! 🌾🚜
Gotta make sure the girls have a good supply of square bales for winter can’t forget about the goat’s too! ❤️
“But why? Why not just feed them round bales?”
Well, let me tell you… 😂
On those days when the snow is blowing so hard you can’t see an inch in front of your face, do YOU really want to go outside to eat your food! 😂
Exactly. The girls basically make it from the milk barn to the freestalls and call it a day. Ain’t nobody got time to stand outside eating in a blizzard! 🥶🌨️
So we keep square bales stocked in the bottom shed, aka the freestall barn, aka where the girls sleep, so they have hay right in front of them when Mother Nature decides to throw a fit.
It may not look like much, but those square bales are a BIG part of keeping the girls fed, happy, warm, and keeping that milk production going all winter long! 🥛💛
Farm life isn’t just about what happens when the sun is shining! ❄️🍁⛈️
