Good morning!! We here at Sharp’s Family Farm hope everyone is having a great day. Who would be interested in starting their own flock of chickens this year? We are going to be hatching out a barnyard mix! Forget the store pricing on chicks, it’s insane. We will be charging $2 per chick. They will be straight run! The part of farming that many people don’t realize is that sometimes human intervention is needed for babies to survive. Sometimes that means animals end up in your house. Body temps are crucial for the survival of baby animals, so that means sitting on the floor with a hair dryer and towels and warming babies back up. It means placing the life of something else front and center. Farmers do what it takes for the lives of their livestock.

When babies need extra love, they get just that. Just snoozing away in front of the fireplace to keep body temps up!
