We are based in Norwood, Massachusetts, which is comfortably within the Boston metropolitan area. HMF’s facilities include a state-of-the-art plant, and R&D facility, as well as warehouse and Corporate functions. We are focused on continued growth and are executing against various initiatives that include additional product lines, new sales channels, greater pe*******on of our extensive customer relationships, as well as opportunistic acquisitions. Our success is directly dependent on attracting and retaining the best possible talent across our functions. To this end, we are posting for a Warehouse Worker for our Norton facility.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The Warehouse Worker will process receipt, storage, and shipment of finished goods. Shift hours are overnight from 5pm-5am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays work as well. This position is for our Norton, MA warehouse facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Off loads all inbound freight and maintains written documentation of the transactions.
Verifies accuracy of inbound freight bills and signs for the materials.
Posts data into the computer.
Picks/stages/ships finished goods orders utilizing scanners.
Completes shipment schedule.
Rotates product date codes during pulling operations.
Maintains inventory accuracy.
Maintains safety and sanitation standards.
Complies with Company and USDA regulations governing storage and shipment of product.
Able to bend, carry and lift up to 60 pounds without difficulty.
Able to withstand working in a cold environment.
Able to work independently with little direction.
Ability to read, write and take directions in English.
Able to perform other duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be fluent in written and oral English.
Must be able to perform simple mathematical functions, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Must be forklift certified on sit-downs, stand up forktruck and scissor lift.
Two plus years of experience in shipping/receiving.
Experienced in put-away / retrieval of pallets in racked warehouses.
Experience in loading & unloading trucks.
Familiar with warehouse documentation and processing requirements.
Experience with annual inventories.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
