Omega Farms Goats

Omega Farms Goats A place to brag about my goats and show the ones for sale so I don't have to bore all my non-goat friends with so many goat pictures on my personal page!

The goat shed is all clean and cozy for winter, but apparently it's also now segregated. Blacks on the right, dapples and reds on the left! 🤣 Silly goats.

I did not know this about goats (point 3).

A cougar killed 2 goats down the road from us last night. Tonight she came back and a local trapper got her. So thankful that she is no longer a threat, but also for Chesty, my LGD.

One of the bucklings born early this morning will be available as a bottle kid. Let me know if you're interested. $125, will include 2 gallons of goat milk to get him started.

Well, the joke is on me. The last couple of years I've been slowly reducing my kidding and even the ones I had were half nubian, no registered boers. Last summer I decided not to breed any does, partly being too busy with grandkids, partly the high cost of feed and partly even a little bit burned out. Christmas Eve day I was trimming some feet and noticed one of the does seemed to have some udder development. Hmm. Sure enough. Upon closer inspection, her and THREE other does! Oh my goodness. Apparently Emily's nubian buck figured out how to service them through the fence!! So, sometime in the next month I will once again be kidding and in the spring will have some no doubt gorgeous kids for sale as pets and/or brush eaters. Expectant mamas (that I know of) are Raven, Powder Puff, Echa and Pebbles. The buck is naturally polled so hopefully there will be some polled kids, too. I guess God wasn't ready for me to quit just yet - gotta love it. Hopefully all births go as well as in this video from 5 years ago. .https://fb.watch/a8XphcZgzq/

I have several pet quality kids available, friendly and healthy. Also another naturally polled buckling that could be kept for a buck. All are boer/nubian crosses. Moonshine is 75% boer, already weaned and ready to go. The rest are 50/50 and won't be weaned until May, but can be held with a deposit.

These bucklings are a month old and will be looking for new homes at weaning. They are a 50/50 boer-nubian cross and will make wonderful pets or brush eaters. The red has striking facial colors while his paint brother is naturally polled like their sire. Could be buck material if you are interested in working some polled genetics into your herd. There are also 2 other buckling-soon-to-be-wethers available at weaning and possible a doe. Let me know what you're looking for.

Meet Joseph (Joey), the polled buckling with the coat of many colors. Yes, he is naturally polled. Joey is a 50/50 boer-nubian cross and his nubian sire is polled so he got the lucky gene. If you would like to experiment with polled genetics, here's your chance, but I'll need a deposit on him pretty soon or he will be wethered along with his disbudded brother. Super sweet temperament, too. $400 at weaning, end of April. (SOLD)
