P-1 Georgette is a Wilkes Farms 6th generation owned and 5th generation bred&raised. She is her dam ,L16 Geraldine’s, first calf. She goes back to one of my favorite cow families in our commercial herd. She along with 23 other heifers will be hitting the weaning pens this weekend. Y’all have a good Labor Day and God Bless! 🩷

🐮🍁❣️Fall Calving Update❣️🍁🐮

Whew, August sure did fly by!!! I guess that is what happens when you’re having fun! We ended August with 5 gorgeous babies!
All calves are sired by either MCK 234 or MCK 276. We are expecting around 5 more in September and we will be done for the year! Thank you God, for all your many blessings!!

Also stay tuned, we are about a week away from spring weaning!!! 😄❤️

Sorry to leave yall hanging, I totally forgot about OFFICIALLY introducing our newest herdsires.

We are so stinking excited about bringing these men into our breeding program and can’t wait to see their first calves next fall! They both are sired by CHRK High Class. We decided to name the boys after the towns they were born and raised in. Y’all know my father. Every bull he has ever bought is named after the person he came from, the town, the farm name, or the road name. We have had some interesting ones over the years!

Cross K 2024 we named Moselleous, a.k.a Big Moe. We also call him the big land hippo lol. Moe is a dark red, polled, and thick!! He will follow you anywhere for a snack!

Cross K 2424 we named Bogalusa, a.k.a Bogie. He is red, scurred, and long! He is a tad younger than Moe, but he can sure hold his own! Bogie is so easy going and very feed motivated.

Our Fall calving season has officially kicked off! And ours kicked off with a bang! Our registered first calf heifer, CCWF W1 Wickett, sure surprised us one morning with twin look alike bull calves, that look almost just like her! She truly said copy and paste x2! She was a rockstar for a first time mom and loves her twin boys! We have a smaller fall calving group this year, but stay tuned! We are expecting around 12-15 more. All calves will be sired by MCK 234 or MCK 276, our registered beefmaster bulls.

Look what we picked up yesterday!!👀👀

It was bittersweet to replace our older herdsires, but we have been so excited since March to get these new bulls home! Meet the two newest registered beefmaster bulls , Cross K 2424 and Cross K 2024. They will be named soon, we would love to hear suggestions for names! These bulls are CHRK High Class sons from Crossed K Cattle. We are super stoked to finally be adding in some polled and scurred genetics. We can’t wait to see what these boys do for our registered and commercial herds. These boys will be going out with the fall herd later in the year. We are excited!

We are really excited to see what this 2.5 month old heifer looks like in the next few months! We are gonna have a nice group of heifers this year! 😍😍

And just like that our Spring calving season OFFICIALLY ended today with 9 babies for March-April. We had 6 heifers and 3 bulls with 3 of these being registered. God truly blessed us and kept His hand over us and our cattle during this calving season. We give Him all the praise!

We are done until our Fall calving with our big herd. But don’t worry, We will start calving periodically in our WD commercial herd in the next month or so.
