Last year's pre-Christmas, we had a large run on our honey.

I will be taking orders this week to be picked up next Saturday Dec. 20th at the farm from 11 to 3.

FOR ALL MY CUSTOMERS AND FRIENDS WHO HAVE PURCHASED MY GARLIC....THE NUMBER ONE QUESTION I HAVE BEEN ASKED IS "HOW LONG DOES GARLIC LAST"?
I TALKED TO A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE WHO HAS GROWN AWARD WINNING GARLIC FOR THE ILLINOIS STATE FAIR. HE TAKES THE BLUE RIBBON ALMOST EVERY YEAR AND ONCE TOOK GRAND PRIZE FOR THE STATE. HE SAYS THAT THE BEST WAY TO HAVE GARLIC FOR A LONG TIME IS FREEZING IT. BREAK UP THE BULBS AND TAKE THE INDIVIDUAL CLOVES WITH THEIR PAPER ON AND PUT IT IN A CONTAINER AND FREEZE. HE SAID THAT HE HAS SOME THAT IS TWO TO THREE YEARS OLD.
HE SAID THAT WHEN YOU WANT TO USE IT, TAKE IT OUT OF THE FREEZER AND JUST CHOP WHILE IT IS FROZEN AND YOU CAN'T TELL ANY DIFFERENCE THEN WHEN IT WAS FRESH. HE DID SAY THAT IF YOU LET IT THAW, IT WILL BE A BIT RUBBERY SO THATS WHY HE LIKES TO CHOP IT FREST FROM THE FREEZER.
ANOTHER THING ABOUT FROZEN GARLIC IS THAT IT DOES NOT LOOSE ANY OF ITS HEALTHY BENEFITS.

NO GARLIC LASTS FOREVER ON THE SHELF BUT KEEPING IT IN THE OPEN WITH AIR MOVING AROUND IT, LIKE YOUR KITCHEN COUNTER, IT WILL LAST SEVERAL MONTHS.

I HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL TO ALL GARLIC LOVERS. I KNOW PERSONALLY THAT THERE WILL BE CLOVES IN MY FREEZER WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAY.

All good things must come to an end and so will my garlic sales.
I will no longer be selling garlic as in the past, but only by special orders.
You can text me at 618-593-7998 if you wish to purchase garlic for the next month. I do have some garlic left in the 3 for $5 X large bulbs, 4 for $5 for large bulbs.

For all orders, we will set up a meeting time depending on my schedule so that you can pick up. No Sundays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.

I want to thank all of you who have been my customers. I do hope to have honey available in September so I will be posting on those sales later.

If you are in the Troy area, you can text me an order and pick it up at my home. Again, will set up a time for pick up.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SEED GARLIC TO PLANT IN YOUR OWN GARDEN, I HAVE SOME AVAILABLE. 3 FOR $5. EACH LARGE BULB CAN YIELD 7-8 CLOVES FOR PLANTING IN LATE OCTOBER.
MUSIC AND SIBERIAN VARIETY. THESE ARE LARGE CLOVES AND WILL YIELD LARGE BULBS.

We will be open for business this coming Saturday, August 16th, 10 am to 3 pm for garlic sales. All garlic is grown right here in O'Fallon Il. No foreign garlic allowed.

We will still have bulbs for $1 but will have larger bulbs 4 for $5. Ideal for all uses.
This year we also have our seed garlic that can be used for planting this fall. These are larger bulbs that will ensure large bulbs when planted. Those are 3 for $5.

All cash sales.

Our selections this year are the Music porcelain, the gourmets garlic. Complex in its taste that mellows out while cooking.
Added this year is Siberian garlic, a purple stripe garlic that starts out with a strong flavor but becomes creamy during cooking.
We will also have a small amount of Spanish Roja which has a strong start and lasting flavor. We are closing out this brand.

We are hoping that we will have our 100% pure raw honey towards fall. The girls are working on its production now.

Garlic sales are just around the corner. Larger bulbs than last year and will also have some seed garlic bulbs for sale just in case you want to plant some in your garden this fall. Plan on Saturday August 16 for the open for business sign goes out by the mail box.
