Lone Jack Farm

Lone Jack Farm Sheep farm raising organic fruits, veggies and learning experiences. Katahdin hair sheep for hobby farms and meat. Summertime Farm Camp for kids K-5th grade.

Sheep farm with organically grown pears, apples and berries. Our family moved to Lone Jack Missouri in search of the perfect farm. We found that here in our community and love our patch of heaven. We raise grass fed hair sheep for breeding and meat. We also breed New Zealand & California Rabbits, chickens (chicks), and pigmy goats. We also grow organic apples, pears, cherries, peaches, figs, straw

berries, blueberries, and a few grape vines. We sell our fruit in the delicious form of homemade preserves, jams, or jellies. We also have a summer day Farm Camp for ages 5-11 where we get to share our farm experience.

Hey friends and followers! Since it is now officially the 2nd day of fall (equinox was yesterday), it is pumpkin season too!

If you love decorating with pumpkins, carving jack-o-lanterns, or even pumpkin chunkin' our sweet mini goats would love to help you dispose of them when you are done.

Did you know pumpkins and the seeds are a natural dewormer for goats and chickens?! Plus, all the extra sweetness is a special treat!
Send us a message or give us a call if you want to drop them off!

Come visit us at the Lone Jack Farmers Market tomorrow from 8-11!
We've got fresh scones: Orange Cranberry, Blueberry, Chocolate Caramel, and a new flavor Strawberry Lemonade!
The hot peppers are finally ready too! We cross pollinated bird peppers (looks like a Tabasco) with Jamaican Scotch Bonnets to get a new level of hot that we are calling "Tear Jerkers."

Sorry for the delay, Farm Camp ended with a lot of fun events and surprise visits.
Week 5 was Tractors, Tools and Weather and Farm John Campbell came by with his crew and the big tractors.
Week 6 was the Western Way, the Lone Jack Library came for a story and craft to help us learn all about real pioneers and outlaws. Cowgirl Rachel taught us how-to stamp leather and rope a steer.
Farmer Bronn ended Camp with a visit to the ER for a busted ankle, but don't worry, he's doing much better now.

Week 4 Farm to Table was absolutely delicious! We learned where our food comes from, the benefits of farm to table, and we made all of our snacks from scratch. Fresh juice and smoothies, salsa fresh from the garden, butter, sourdough grilled cheese, and pizza. The kids even picked their favorite recipes and we made a Farm Camp recipe book!

Week 3 Barnyard Adventures was AWESOME! We learned all about caring for farm animals, launched rubber chickens with a giant sling shot, and even braided the pony's hair. The farm critters were spoiled with extra snacks and snuggles.

Week 2 of Nature and Wildlife Wonders was a hit. We made bug mallows and went on a bug hunt. We built bug hotels and humming bird feeders to encourage beneficial bugs and pollinators to stay in our gardens. We played Photosynthesis tag and learned what plants need to produce glucose.
Thanks again to Mr. Adam from the Mo. Department of Conservation for teaching us about macroinvertebrates and pond habitats!
