One of the many skills I’ve developed since moving to a Christmas tree farm is making bows!

I wish I could say it was relaxing, meditative, soothing to the soul… but when you’ve got to bust out 300 in 7 weeks it’s not quite as zen as you might think. But at least they’re pretty 😉

We’re officially gearing up for the 2026 season. Unfortunately it’s not as quick or flashy as a snap of the fingers or a fun transition reel but it’s all worth it! Stay tuned to watch the farm transform to being customer-ready in just a few short months

Did you know, that out of the thousands of trees growing at Good Boy Farms, only ONE of them has a name?

Yoshio is translated into English roughly as “Good Boy” and is the namesake of our farm.

Back in March 2022, we selected one healthy Noble Fir seedling (already 1 year old), named it Yoshio and have been checking on its growth every season to show in real time how long it really takes to grow a Christmas tree!

Now in October 2026, 5-year-old Yoshio stands a proud 34 inches tall. He is strong and healthy but still a looooong way off from harvest time. The trees going home with you this year were planted at least 7-10 years ago depending on the species! Christmas tree farming is all about investing in the future 🌲

Scheduling for photo session time slots at the Christmas tree farm is open and spots are filling up fast!

📷 Time slots are available whenever the farm is closed to the public

📷 Cost: $30/hr on weekdays and $40/hrs on weekends (including Fridays)

📷 Props and pets are welcome

📷 Want to snap some family photos but don’t have a photographer? No problem! Sign up for a time slot and bring along a tripod or a friend to take the picture.
