A few people have asked what “BGL” stands for in BGL Homestead. Truth is, we chose our name carefully… Because everything we do here is rooted in the three little hearts that matter most to us: Blaine, Garrett & Layla ❤️

BGL Homestead isn’t just a name… it’s the reason behind the gardens, the animals, the dirty boots, the fresh eggs, the long days, and the lessons we’re teaching along the way. We’re raising our kids to value hard work, slow living, family, and the kind of life that’s built with your own two hands.

In a world that moves way too fast, we’re choosing the homestead way. Teaching them where food comes from, how to care for the land, and that the best things in life aren’t bought… they’re grown 🐓🌱🤍

At BGL Homestead, we’re learning every day how to live a little slower, a little simpler, and a little closer to the land we’ve been blessed with. 🌱🐓

We’re teaching our family the old school ways… Growing food, raising animals, working with our hands, and appreciating the value of hard work and homegrown living. The more we learn, the more we realize that the fast paced life everyone chases isn’t always the life that brings the most joy.

Sometimes the best things come from slowing down, getting your hands dirty, and building a life that feels real. 🤎
