Two new wines have arrived at Michael Corso Selections!

Vignerons Réunis Bourgogne Pinot Noir “Réserve” comes from a small growers’ cooperative near Montagny in the Côte Chalonnaise. Intense color, aromas of morello cherry with hints of smoke and leather, and a palate that is well-structured and finely balanced with ripe tannins. Bottled exclusively for Michael Corso Selections.

Cave du Perréon’s Brouilly is 100% Gamay from granite and clay soils dotted with the region’s famous blue stones. Brilliant ruby color, aromas of raspberry and blackcurrant, and a palate that is round, well-balanced, and silky, with a long finish.

Après avoir frôlé les gelées il y a quelques semaines, la météo a bien changée, la chaleur est revenue et donc la vigne en a profité. Une belle sortie de grappes en perspective, tout du moins sur les premières parcelles, et cela ne présage en rien la récolte à venir, le printemps et l'été sont encore long.Ici dans une parcelle précoce de Chardonnay, dans nos Santenay 1er cru Beaurepaire.

After coming close to the frost a few weeks ago, the weather has changed a lot, the heat has returned and the vine has benefited. A nice outing of clusters in perspective, at least on the first plots, and this does not bode well for the coming harvest, spring and summer are still long. Here in an early plot of Chardonnay, in our Santenay 1er cru Beaurepaire.

Here are a few highlights from a recent trip to Maine earlier this month for the Pine State Tasting Series. Mike and Matt Corso spent a couple of days showcasing a number of wines from our portfolio and spotted some of our wine on the shelves at Old Port Wine Merchant in downtown Portland, Maine. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with key accounts, discover new offerings, and see what resonates in a different market. We are grateful to have been part of this event and to spend time with the Pine State crew!

On Thursday, our Midwest Manager, Dave Sink, presented wines for Michael Corso Selections at the Art Mart Wine Tasting in Champaign-Urbana. The event raised money for Crisis Nursery, support their 24/7 services for children and families in need. We appreciate being part of a night that brought a community together and contributed to a meaningful resource.

We are grateful to Matthieu Gille for an engaging and memorable visit. Hosting two Domaine Gille dinners at the University Club of Chicago and a tasting in Michigan gave our community and us the chance to spend time with the winemaker behind these classic Burgundy wines.

It's been a busy week for us. Out team has traveled from Chicago to New Mexico, Minnesota and Michigan, to connect with partners across several markets for wine dinners, rosé pre-sell tastings, and portfolio showcases.
