We are getting ready to host our Burgundy & More trade tasting on Monday, Oct 12. All the final preparations are coming together. Here is a recap of last year's event.

On Monday, we'll be pouring w**es from Chablis to Beaujolais, alongside a curated selection from the broader portfolio, from noon to 4 pm at Avec River North.

With 84 appellations and thousands of individual vineyard parcels, Burgundy has a reputation for being complicated — and for good reason. Nowhere in France does the location where a vine grows matter more.

Each w**e in a Burgundy glass carries more than terroir. It carries the decisions of the family who farmed that parcel, sometimes for centuries. The same knowledge passing from generation to generation. In many cases, the same vines as well.

We've visited these domaines, sat at their tables, and watched as sons and daughters take over the cellar. We'd like to bring those places and people to your glass.

Happy International Grenache Day!

Grenache is one of the defining grapes of the southern Rhône, especially in Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Tavel. But it doesn't stop at the Rhône Valley. Further west in the Languedoc, it shows up in the vineyards of Minervois and Fitou shaped by a different landscape.

In the southern Rhône, Grenache brings warmth and generosity, with ripe fruit, garrigue and the richness that comes from old vines on clay and limestone. In the Languedoc, it takes on a different character, grown on schist and limestone in some of France's most rugged vineyard country.

We're celebrating Grenache Day by highlighting six producers across the Rhône and Languedoc, each showing a different side of the grape.

Our annual Burgundy tasting is back! This year we are adding a new twist. Burgundy & More brings together our Burgundy producers alongside a curated selection from the broader portfolio for an afternoon of tasting, discovery and conversation.

Join us on Monday, October 12, from Noon to 4pm at Avec River North in Chicago to sample our w**es. You may find your next glass pour, that $100 bottle for your list, or the perfect Burgundy for your discerning customers.

Event is open to members of the trade only – buyers, restauranters, retailers, etc.

Harvest time at Domaine Camille Braun is a family affair, where even the youngest members get involved. Family and friends work together to hand-harvest and sort each cluster of grapes before they head into the crusher. The long hours spent in the sun, hunched over baskets on hillsides, taking care not to handle the grapes roughly is exhausting work, but we think the results speak for themselves!
