Decarboxylation Explained 🌟
C*D h**p flower isn't a regular herb like basil - you don't just eat it. That's because C*D in it's natural state is actually C*DA (cannabidiolic acid), and our bodies cannot absorb C*DA.
To be absorbable, the C*DA molecules must first be converted to C*D molecules.
This process is called decarboxylation, and heat is one way to decarboxylate. Specifically, when a raw C*DA molecule is heated, it loses a carboxyl group and releases a carbon dioxide molecule.
The resulting molecule is a C*D
molecule. Through our endocannabinoid system our bodies can now absorb and utilize these C*D molecules and we can decide on our preferred way of consumption through inhalation or ingestion.
