What's up with those Oak Park Zetas!!! www.oakparkzetas.com Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Upsilon Psi Zeta Chapter was chartered in Oak Park, MI on November 11, 2006 by 13 women who sought change.

UPZ sought after the will to be vital assets of our beloved organization and to encourage each other as trailblazers. By setting standards to never expect or accept anything less than our principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love and Finer Womanhood, we continue to hold the true essence of what our five illustrious founders envisioned. was founded on the simple belief that our actions shou

ld not overshadow the real mission for progressive organizations. UPZ adopts this belief and many others. We serve and act on our duty to perform sororal obligations in the name of Zeta, while ensuring we address society’s ills, as we work towards seeking the solution of issues that plague our communities.

Today, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated stands with the warriors, families and caregivers impacted by sickle cell disease❤️

On World Sickle Cell Awareness Day, we raise awareness, advocate for equitable care and honor the strength of those living with this inherited blood disorder.

Hope is growing as new advancements in gene therapy are creating potentially curative treatment options for eligible patients, bringing us closer to a future without sickle cell disease.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated honors Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, as an historic moment in American history. On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached the last enslaved individuals in Galveston, Texas, marking the true beginning of freedom for all.

We proudly recognize the efforts of our own trailblazing Soror, Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” whose unwavering advocacy helped make Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday in 2021.

Today, we celebrate emancipation, reflect on our ancestors’ strength and resilience, and recommit to the work of advancing justice, equity, and unity. Through education, action, and solidarity, we move closer to a world rooted in true freedom for all.
