Barriga Llena, meaning "full belly," is about more than great food. We believe every meal should be an experience and every bite a memory.

It's about bringing people together through bold flavors, different cultures, and a shared love of eating well. Welcome to Barriga Llena, where we blend rich Colombian culinary traditions with a dash of American fusion. As the Spanish saying goes "Barriga Llena...Corazón Contento," (full belly, happy heart) and we take it to heart. Our menu is a celebration of diversity, featuring Colombian classics like arepas and other hearty breakfast items like biscuits and gravy - using local fresh ingredients when possible.

A little family update from Barriga Llena.

Our Tía has been on hospice, and we’ve been told she prob will not make it through the weekend.

Barriga Llena has always been about more than good food. It’s about people, connection and family. Right now, we need to hold close the moments that matter and be with family.

🥣 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐰𝐥.

It’s the kind of meal you crave when you’re feeling under the weather, when the temperatures drop, or when you just need something that warms you from the inside out.

But sancocho is about so much more than that. 💗

It’s tradition passed down through generations, the familiar flavors that take you home, and the feeling of family gathered around the table. It’s a little taste of where you come from, a reminder of the people who taught you to cook, and the love that goes into every pot.

Guys! 📚 That bookstore smell! There’s just something about walking into a bookstore that makes you want to stay awhile and get lost in the pages.

We’re so happy to have this gem in our town, and even happier to have it right here on the West end! ❤️

They truly have something for everyone, and the cutest little kids’ nook for the young readers to find their next adventure. 📖

Nothing beats seeing new local businesses take root and bring even more life to our community. Go show our friends at Blackbird Chapterhouse Book Store some love, browse a little, and leave with a few more books than you planned. 😉❤️
